The MAB25A measures angles with a resolution of 10 Bit i.e. 0.35°. There are versions for 5V or 8..30V supply voltage and 0..5V, 0..10V, or 4..20mA output signal. 360° is the standard full scale, but smaller angles are simply a subject to programming during the output inspection. Another feature is the high performance polymer bearing of the shaft. This way the encoder may be operated at middle revs of up to 4000rpm. The type 3RD is a double-reduction gearhead designed for applications that require very slow rotation and very high torque. It produces output from 0.5 up to 8.5 RPM, with gear ratios from 200:1 to 3,600:1, allowing a relatively small motor to product up to 148 lb-in. of torque. The type HG gearmotor features an offset drive shaft that makes it suitable for use in applications where space is limited. The design allows it to be face-mounted from either side. It produces output from 16 to 63 RPM, with gear ratios of 27:1 to 108:1, and up to 1,000 lb-in. continuous torque. Almost every component of the type GC was designed for higher-than-usual performance. It produces output from 24-85 RPM with gear ratios from 20:1 to 72:1 and up to 1,000 lb-in. of torque.

The high-speed version to its Ncompact range of low voltage motors is suitable for the speed range up to 5000rpm. They can be used across the full speed regulating range due to the sub- critical rotor design and forced ventilation, even fast running machines such as high pressure fans, screw compressors or special circulating pumps manage to do without transmission gearing. The motors are compact and require little maintenance. The series covers the voltage classes from 400 through 690V and is available with outputs between 200kW and 1050kW. Combined with frequency inverters they form a coordinated drive system. The N-compact is isolated from the baseplate by means of the oscillation elements at the base of the motor which have excellent damping properties. This makes the motor immune to external influences such as vibrations and independent of the on-site base plate.

In different areas of the transport and conveyer technology, the machine manufacturers require that the transport elements are cleaned at regular intervals. This work requires an easy-to- handle lock connection for the opening and closing of the often very long belts. With a system on the basis of Alpha linear ZS belts, such locks can now be realised. The characteristic lies in the handling and flexibility with regard to belt width, lock length and number of individual belt fingers, which are cut with a water jet. All these parameters can be adjusted. Due to the simplicity of this connection, even small quantities can be manufactured cost-effectively. In order to guarantee a stability of the locks that is adjusted to the basic belt, these connectors start from the
timing profile AT 10 and the smallest thread M3. Further measurements, e.g. profile H, T20 and AT20, are also available on request.

Measuring only 35mm, the Optocode encoders require little installation space. The devices provide IP67 protection thanks to double-sealed ball bearings and a pressed-on housing which minimizes the sealing surface. They are therefore suitable for use in rugged environments, such as in outdoor applications or in mobile machines. The encoders use a tried and tested optoelectronic scanning method (based on the concurrent analysis of a Gray code pattern and two incremental tracks) to record position values. They provide a maximum resolution of 15-bit per revolution. Node address and Baud rate can be adjusted via SDO telegrams, moreover, counting direction, preset value and resolution per revolution can be programmed via the CAN bus. All parameters can be stored in the encoder's non-volatile memory. The devices are connected via a 5-pin microstyle connector.

The NS rotating nut linear actuator provides long stroke and speed nearly as fast as a linear motor. A maximum speed of 2400mm/s and acceleration up to 1G is attained through the use of high-lead precision screws. Also, since there is minimal impact from dangerous rotation speeds, movement is possible at the maximum 2400mm/s even at the maximum stroke 3000mm, so the cycle time can be greatly reduced. Altogether payloads of 10-80kg horizontal or 6-16 kg vertical are possible. Rather than moving the nut in the straight line by rotating a ball screw, the ball screw is fixed and the nut is rotated by a servo motor built into the slider, so the slider moves in a straight line. Because the ball screw does not rotate, the influence of dangerous rotation speeds is minimal and this makes movement at high speeds possible even for long strokes.

The sealed bearing cartridges offer an alternative to conventional greased bronze, hardened steel and rolling-element bearings in demanding applications. Because they are self-lubricating, the sealed bearing cartridges eliminate the need for continuous maintenance, costly automated greasing systems and lubricants. Capable of handling loads of up to 620Mpa, they provide superior wear rate, which averaged just 13 per cent of that exhibited by hardened steel bearings in independent tests. The bearing cartridges are also dimensionally stable and provide corrosion resistance. Integral lip seals exclude contaminants from the bearings, and a zinc-plated steel outer shell protects them from compressive loads. The new bearing cartridges come in a range of standard dimensions to accommodate shaft diameters of 25-100mm and housing bores from 41-122mm. They also can be produced to non-standard dimensions.

The MHS-Angle Measuring System offers high accuracy for swivel or rotating axes and rotary tables. Calibrating the encoder ring scale during the initial installation start up is simple by temporarily mounting a secondary encoder head and rotating the Ring Scale axis. Accuracy errors related to mechanical installation, disc eccentricity, and bearing run-out are removed in an economical way. As an example, a 162mm diameter encoder ring scale can have an installed accuracy of finer than ± 3 arc sec. Larger diameter encoder ring scales would have even better installed accuracy. The integration of the encoder ring scale directly onto the rotating part, very close to the bearing and without a mechanical coupling is the best solution for precision positioning and high accuracy. With an IP67 rating (fluid submersible), the ring scale can be mounted in an area where there are fluids such as oil and grease without affecting reliability or accuracy.
